I highly recommend www.iobit.com Advanced system care. For $30 you get a whole bunch of tools besides just the system care. Basically it is a easy to use version of Windows power tools and power editor. What you can do everything this software does without having to look for it!

It does not get all of the files under the c:\windows\temp folder or

Under users\" your system username" \app data\local\temp folder....

Note that the system username is your regular new username truncated to a characters. You have to show hidden folders to find it!

Be extremely careful that you are actually in these folders whether windows are user and before you delete the things in them! Double check your path in your Explorer....

Once you're sure you're in there and it says temp, hit shift on the first file, while holding down hit the end key that will select them all. Then hit delete. Sometimes they do not all delete.

If you need more help after that it's why I'm here.

Microsoft in their infinite stupidity have left those folders wide open to viruses, errors, and blue screens of death since Windows 1.0!

I highly suggest you do a clean reboot before you actually delete the files in these folders advanced systemcare will take care of the rest!

Do this once a month before the second Tuesday updates, and you will never get errors installing an update ever again!

I'll guarantee it I've been doing this method for the last 35 years. Advanced system care just makes it easier! And a 30 bucks a year it's worth the tax deduction! That's iobit.com!

Blue screen of death!

I personally coined that term back in the 1980s! When it was a common occurrence! Back then you had to rebuild the computer from scratch...
